If you own a potting machine or tray filler it's easy to understand the importance of a large soil hopper on your machine. Most of our machines have hoppers ranging from 600 L to 4000L. The Demtec Den provides the buffer between mixer and machine allowing uninterupted production processes. The Den delivers soil on a on-demand basis the the machine it is set to disscharge into working with opertor intervention. Most tray fillers or potting machines operate without a full load in the hopper. Therefore the Den brings added advantage by allowing the machine it feeds to operate at ' it's ' optimum level.
We have a number of different versions of this machine available :- Static version - On legs 6000 L and 10,000 L , mobile version on wheels as pictured (6000L) and also a mobile 10,000 L version. The Den is a model suitable for Australian (heavy) soils and features a full width conveyor belt in the bottom. The conveyor belt has rollers at close spacing underneath to reduce effort and improve efficiency. The machines are all built on a proper chassis and the mobile versions can be towed. Demtec produce a version called VDB which is only suitable for peat mixes. The VDB has chains and cleats in the hopper to move the soil and therefore due to the weight of most Australian soil mixes we are precluding this model from choice unless we have a sample of the media to be used.
