The Demtec DT-3016 is an incredibly versatile potting machine. Capable of working automatically with pots from 7cm - 26cm and 26cm - 36cm. The machine benefits from a solid chassis, large hopper of 3000L. The machines versatility comes from its use of both an 8 and 16 station potting ring, both feature 'centralised adjustment'. The machine is very easy to work with. Adjustments between different pot sizes are quick and simple. The machine comes complete with large pneumatic tyres and towing arm. The machine will be supplied as standard with a pot dispenser, automatic pot take-off arm and conveyor supplied as per your requirements in various widths and lengths.

The Demtec 3016 benefits from an easily adjusted 'pneumatic' double sided pot dispenser which is exceptional with second hand pots if you reuse them! The strong linear pot take off arm has a very smooth action and allows the pots to be removed from the turntable onto the wide take-off conveyor with little effort or disturbance to the pot. The DT3016 comes complete with a wide exit conveyor. Because pots used on this machine are usually on the larger side the conveyor supplied is wide and has additional rollers underneath every few inches. Incorporated in the 3016 machine are some unique features such as a system in the soil hopper to prevent the phenomenon commonly known as soil bridging. Another unique feature is the soil return conveyor that totally eliminates overfill of the soil elevator. Bare root potting is easy with the DT3016. The machine comes supplied as standard with the bare root system allowing pots to be part filled and then topped up from centre spilled soil after the shrub is placed in the pot.

This model is supplied as standard three phase and we can if you wish also provide either 5 or 10 cubic metre static or mobile soil hoppers to feed it with extra media if neccessary.See the DEN models 5000 and 10000. If your nursery does not have three phase on-site we can easily address this and it will not preclude you from owning this machine. We are able to artificially generate three phase supply by using one of our three phase convertors.

The DT3016 is a great general all rounder and will give years of reliable service.

• Capability and capacity: With most of these machines you are swapping a machine for units of labour. Having owned our machine for the 3 months of Spring, it has definitely earned its keep. • After sales support: Not being mechanically trained, I was nervous about the vulnerability surrounding owning a machine that I did not fully understand ie: “what if it breaks?” In the 3 months of owning the machine, I have received periodic phone calls to check everything is fine. A fortnight ago, we had a small problem I phoned Mike at Transplant Systems on Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find a replacement part delivered by courier on Monday morning to the nursery. In short, it has been very reassuring to know that assistance (if required) is only a phone call away.
• Simplicity: We have found the 3016 to be easy and quick to adjust. Whether transferring from 200mm to 250mm or 125mm to 300mm, the transition is quite fast and straight forward. "
