DT 2016 Evo

The Demtec DT-2016 Evo is easily the best mid-range potting machine available today. Capable of working automatically with pots from 7cm - 27 cm with both round and square pots. The machine benefits from a strong chassis, large standard hopper of 2000L which can be expanded if required and a 16 station potting ring which features 'centralised adjustment' that also centres the pot underneath the drill !

The DT2016 Evolution is an ideal machine for any nursery do to it's inherant flexibility. The machines design is such that it is more than capable of handling a broad range of pot sizes. Over the years Demtec have Australianized the designs of there machines to meet the harsh working conditions presented by the climate and growing medias. The machine is very easy to work with and adjustments between different pot sizes are quick and simple. With new features like one handle to adjust the spacing between both sides of the pot dispenser at the same time. Another important feature is the fully variable speed drill unit that allows the operator to run the drill at the speed exactly to suit the media ensuring a well formed hole. The drilling depth is easily adjusted by turning a wheel above the drill motor. Another important enhancement is the wider turntable. The evo benefits from a turntable that is approximately 1700 mm in diameter giving rise to exceptionally smooth movement for the pot around the turntable to it's exit position.

The robust and reliable pot take off unit is adjustable in both stroke speed and height so the drilled hole in the pot can easily be maintained if potting on the conveyor belt.

One of the most important features of any potting machine is it's pot dispenser and Demtec have certainly gone to town here. The dispenser DTC2B which is the dispenser we have fitted to the Evo is double sided meaning it dispensing mechanism morks on both sides of the pot at the same time. The dispenser will accurately seperate round and square pots and is very quick and easy to adjust. The double sided pot dispenser works very well with both new and second hand pots. So if you are reusing your 140's or 150's for example you won't be dissapointed. All we will say here is that if you reusing pots don't mix different manufacturers pots in the same stacks.

The machine comes complete with large pneumatic tyres and towing arm. The machine will be supplied as standard with a pot dispenser double sided, pot stack feed belt, automatic pot take-off arm and an exit conveyor supplied as per your requirements in various widths and lengths. We are able to supply the DT2016 in two versions clockwise or anti clockwise. We make in two versions so we can best suit the configuration for your shed. Click here to see the difference. The main version being a single working machine. This model pots from 7cm -27 cm at a maximum output of 4000 pots per hour. *The DT2016D has a double pot dispenser and dispences to pots per position on the potting ring. As a result the actual output per hour is increased.. However with the double working machine the pot sizes are approximately 9-13 cm only. But output is as much as 7000 pots per hour.

When working with faster speeds soil is used much quicker than at slower speeds, so it may pay to look at the DEN 5.0 or 10.0 also.
